This page illustrates add-on main administration screen and briefly introduces their purpose.

Herzum Approval Administration screens include the following:

Navigate to the Add-Ons Panel within your JIRA installation.

Administration → Add-Ons → Herzum Approval

Click on Approval Global Configuration to manage fields allowing to customize add-on behavior and appearance.

Click on Approval Administration to manage Approvals.

An approval can be associated to a single field (Simple Approval) or multiple fields (Advanced Approval).

Approval fields include the following:

  • Project Roles
  • Groups
  • Users
  • Group Picker Field 
  • User Picker Field
  • Reporter
  • Assignee
  • Project Lead

Click on Conditional Rule Administration  to create/edit/delete a rule following JQL syntax.

The Conditional Rules allows conditioning add-on behavior.

A Conditional rule is usable in:

  • Approval Mapping configurations
  • E-Mail template configuration

Conditional rules are re-usable across different mappings and templates.

Click on Approval Mapping Administration to create/edit/delete Approval Mappings.

An Approval Mapping indicates the approvals required, when moving in a workflow step, to allow transitioning in a next step.

The AWT Settings enable the AWT option for the Approval Mappings.

This setting is required to accomplish transitioning issues automatically when a complete approval is reached.

The NAC Settings enable the NAC option for the Approval Mappings.

This setting is required to accomplish the approval process in JIRA Service Desk Customer Portal (Approval via Comments).

6Click on Approval E-Mail Templates administration to configure custom e-mail template for a project or to customize the default e-mail template applied to the Approval request notifications via e-mail.

Click on Define Approval Administration to chose enabling the Define Approvals functionality on specific Projects and/or for specific users. 

The Approval Mappings configured via the Define Approvals screen are active on the specific issue exclusively.

An Approval Mapping, specified for a specific issue, overwrites the Approval Mapping defined for the Project/Issue type to whom the issue belongs to.

Click on Request Approval Notification Administration to manage restrictions on the Approval Request email notification including:

  • to enable the Request Approval button on the issues belonging to the selected projects
  • to restrict who can display the Request Approval button
  • to disable automatic and massive Approval Request email notification for selected users, groups, project roles, etc.

9Click on Approval Reply Notification Administration to manage the recipients of the notifications that are sent when an approver approve/reject/move in pending an approval request.

Click on Approval Reindex to refresh all data related to approvals in order to fix eventual inconsistencies and refresh issues pending automatic transitioning.
