The Herzum Approval Request Email Automation service is a custom-written JIRA service that can automate the approval request email resend.

On associating the service to an Approval Mapping, the app will resend the Approval request emails to each approval that is still in pending basing that on the latest notification date and the time specified in the Approval Mapping's Approval Emails Automation setting.


Follow the steps below in order to register the  Approval Request Email Automation service:

  1. Choose  > System >Advanced > Services or click Services on the v5-Advanced#Services administration screen
  2. In the Add Service  form at the bottom of the page, complete the following fields:
    • Name →  the descriptive name for this service.

    • Class → com.herzum.approval.service.email.ApprovalRequestAutomation

    • Schedule and Interval →  when you want the service runs
  3. After completing the fields on the Add Service form, click the Add Service button. This opens the Edit Service page, where you can configure your new service's options.
  4. After completing the remaining options on the Edit Service page, click the Update button to save your new service's options.
