Selecting Requested Approvals via drag and drop can be a difficult operation when the set of Available Approvals is large and the set to be chosen is repeated in multiple configurations.

The "Approval Groups" feature allows you to predefine sets of Requested Approvals (see Approval groups).

If you have configured one or more "Approval Groups" in the Approval Mapping Configuration panel, the "Select Approval Group" button appears above the "Requested Approvals" column.

If you click this button, the "Select an Approval Group" listbox appears.

If you click on the "Select an Approval Group" listbox, the list of configured Approvals Groups is displayed.

When you select an approval group from the list, all approvals in the "Requested Approvals" column are deleted and replaced with the set of Approvals configured in the group. 

Approvals will be added in the order they were configured in the group.

The sequence of images below shows how the "Team" set consisting of approvals (user1, user2, user3) replaces the elements present in the "Requested Approvals" column.




The sequence of images below shows how the "Team Leads" set consisting of approvals (Reporter, Assignee, Project Lead) replaces the elements present in the "Requested Approvals" column.





You can then add approvals from the Available Approvals column via drag and drop.











You can also delete approvals by dragging them to the "Available Approvals" column.

Warning: If you redefine the Approvals of a Group (e.g. Team), the Approvals previously entered in the column of a Mapping using the "Select Approval Group" functionality will not be updated.
